Virtual Machine(VM) - Basic Setup

Oracle Virtualbox Download:

CentOS7 Download:
http://centos.hbcse.tifr.res.in/centos/7.8.2003/isos/x86_64/CentOS-7-x86_64-Minimal-2003.iso

After Installation of Virtual Box – Steps to configure Virtual Machine

Click on New

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Give a name to the Virtual Machine -> Select OS -> Flavour of OS

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Select the size of memory -> Here I have selected 1 GB

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Then go with the default options

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Select the size of Hard Disk – Here I have selected 8GB

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Click Start to install the Operating System -

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Select the CentOS ISO file we downloaded

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Select Install CentOS 7

 

Select Language

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Select the Installation Path

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Start the installation -> Click Begin Installation

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

OS Installation will be started -> Meanwhile setup the root password and create users
